Steve Vautour has qualifed to play in the 2009 Winmau World Masters (Bridlington, England)  in September (2 months difference than previous years).  Steve was knocked out by the 2009 National Champion Terry Hayhurst in the top 8 at this years Nationals..  The 4 competitors, who lost in the round of 8, then playoff for Team Canada's 5th and final spot.  Steve did just that, and now needs our help.  We will be doing a fundraiser at the Saint John Summer Classic (poster listed below), but because the World Darts Federation has advanced the date of the Masters, Steve has little time to do any fundraising..  So Help if you can!  Thank You

Rick Kirkpatrick

President of the New Brunswick Dart Association.

The game of darts is a blast for me!

The sport has taken me to a number of different provinces in Canada, that I may have not seen otherwise.  I have made many friends over the years, and as for role models where do you start?  Fred McKinnon, Jeff Smith, Buddy Barrett, Rick Fortin, Steve Foster, and so on and so on...

I have been playing darts for 35 years, and my wife Margaret also plays in the Saint John City & District Ladies A Division.  We have a 7 year old daughter - Meaghan - who also enjoys to throw.

I am the current President of the New Brunswick Dart Association, and acting Youth Director,  but have also been the Past Vice President of the NBDA.

My Accomplishments:

Member of Team New Brunswick 2000

NBDA A Section Provincial Champions 10 consecutive years of which the Team Captain 6 of those years

1998 Overall City & District TV Champion

City & District A Division MVP (1998-1999 & 1999-2000)

2 Time City & District A Division Singles Champion

2 Time Captain of the year

A Section Doubles Champions 1999

Legion Darts:

2004 National Doubles Champions (w/Fred McKinnon) Chester, NS

5 Time Provincial Champions 4 person Open (1999,2003,2005,2006,2007)... Team members over those wins were: Fred McKinnon, Jeff Smith, Tommy Vaughan, Chris Wallace, Ike Mullin, Kevin Hebert, Mark Hebert, and Trent Francis.

These are just a few of my proud acheivements.  Darts will always be a part of my life, because of all the great friends you are able to meet along the way!
