2009 Team New Brunswick - Profiles

Team New Brunswick 2009 Player Spotlites:

MATHEW COMEAU

TEAM NB - JR BOYS - 2009 RUNNER-UP

My name is Mathew Comeau, I am sixteen years old and live in West Saint John. I attend St. Malachy’s High School.

My parents play darts, so I started playing because it was cool.

I play darts at R.C.L. Branch #69 as a member of the Saint John Youth Darts Program.

At the 2009 New Brunswick Youth Darts Tryouts, I finished second. This is my first year on the Youth Dart Team.

My interests are riding BMXs and playing video games. Kraft Dinner is my favorite food.

At the Nationals, I want to have fun and meet new people.

Mathew

AIMEE GIONET

TEAM NB - JR GIRLS - 2009 CHAMPION

My name is Aimee Gionet, I’m an easygoing but shy person, and love to make friends. I’m from Saint John, New Brunswick. I’m fifteen years old and will be part of the New Brunswick Youth Dart Team competing as a junior girl in Saint-Hyacinthe QC, May 15to 17, 2009. This is my third year on the Youth Dart Team.

I am a member of the Saint John Youth Darts Program at R.C.L. Branch #69. On January 24, 2009 at Rothesay Ave. Billiards in Saint John at the N.B.Youth Dart Team Try outs I was seated first.

I go to Harbourview High School and I’m in Grade Ten. I work part time at Dairy Queen. I started playing darts when I was six years old, because I wanted to be just like Dad, and played for a couple of years. I stopped due to lack of interest, but started again when I was twelve.

At the 2008 Nationals I won a $300 bursary, which I won by competing against the New Brunswick junior and senior girls.

At the 2009 Nationals, I hope to make it to the medal rounds, giving Team New Brunswick a good name, and have loads of fun.

Aimee
